Serial Number Ranges By Model. Full Serial Number Chart; Yanagisawa Serial Number Ranges By Model. Before 1980 the 3rd and 4th digit of the serial number represents the year of manufacture. In terms of feel the 901 fits nicely under the fingers. Yanagisawa have always had a good reputation when it comes to ergonomics, and certain aspects of the design show that much thought has been put into this area. The action is undoubtedly very good, but I still feel that Yamaha have the edge here. Serial Number: Class: Curio & Relic Long Gun Rating: NF - FAIR- 0% - 40% with generally smooth finish, may have mild cleaning yet not deeply pitted, but well worn, replacement of minor parts may need mechanical adjustments, may have rust and may have corrosion pits which do not render article unsafe or inoperable. Oct 13, 2008 Their serial #115661. I may part with them and would like to give as much info as possible when the time comes. Thanks Guys, Styx. I believe you have to cut one in half and count the rings This may be funnier if I actually had a better answer. Have you tried emailing Bose the serial number to see if they still have the record? 10-13-2008, 12:25 PM THE GRAND ILLUSION - Join Date

I called CS and they said that prior to 2001 there's no way to tell when speakers were actually made. remarkable isn't it? 2001 to date the serial #'s will give the date made. So mine were made somewhere between 1987 and 2000. Thanks for your help.
